The Volkswagen I.D. Neo is the brand's upcoming, Golf-sized electric hatchback, although the vehicle might have a different model name when it arrives at dealers.

The model reportedly packs 201-horsepower (150-kilowatt) electric motor. At launch, there would be a 205-mile (330-kilometer) range, but a variant would offer 342 miles (550 kilometers) of range.

The production-spec model should debut later this year,  but Volkswagen doesn't plan to sell them in the United States. Americans have to wait until 2020 to get one of VW's new EVs – a road-going version of the I.D. Crozz concept.
